Dryer Vent Cleaning
An assessment of a clogged dryer vent
Clogged dryer vents are caused by an accumulation of lint in the system. The nature of your duct system can influence how dryer vent ducts clog up. Since lint travels a long distance, it clogs the system more quickly in a dryer vent run. The airflow is slow towards the end of the run, so clogging occurs there first.
Also, lint tends to accumulate around bends and curves in vents. It is possible for vents to clog up t if the transition hose connecting your dryer to the ductwork is crushed, which will inadvertently decrease the airflow. Clogged termination vents are commonly caused by lint buildup on the exterior of your home.
